BLS (Basic Life Support) Provider Training is designed for Healthcare providers–from EMS personnel and physician assistants to doctors, dentists, nurses and respiratory therapists or anyone in the healthcare field who must have a BLS Certification documenting successful completion of a CPR course.
The course covers core material such as adult CPR (including two-rescuer scenarios and use of the bag mask) foreign- body airway obstruction and AED (automatic external defibrillation) instruction.

So you want to become an AHA Instructor?
The AHA Instructor Course teaches the methods needed to effectively instruct others in resuscitation courses. The AHA requires that Instructor be at least 16 years of age for the BLS Instructor courses. Who Should Attend? The Ideal instructor candidate is motivated to; teach, facilitate learning and ensure students acquire the skills necessary for successful course completion. The ideal instructor candidate views student assessment as a way to improve individual knowledge and skills.
Pre-requisites
All Prospective participants in an Instructor Course must:
- Have completed the American Heart Assoc. BLS Instructor Essential online
- Have current Provider status in the discipline they wish to teach.
- Have completed an Instructor Candidate Application
- Purchase the most recent edition of the AHA Provider Manual in order to complete registration for Instructor Course.
- Be successfully monitored teaching an American Heart Association BLS Course. (Our Instructors will teach a course with you. Additional monitoring fee required)
- Pay the course fee of $210.
